NECA Electrical Industry Golf Day

The annual NECA Electrical Industry Golf Day, incorporating the State of Origin game 2, was again a great success.  There were great conditions out on the course for our capacity crowd of 120 contractors, sponsors, guests and suppliers to the industry.

The line up for the golf was described as a who’s who of the Queensland contracting community, and was proudly predominantly maroon. 

Special mention must be made of the committed sponsors of this event:

Silver: Olex, Pierlite, L&H Group and Beacon Lighting Commercial;

Bronze: CNW Electrical, Hager B & R, NECA Group Training and Eco-Smart Electricians. 

Not only does their sponsorship ensure the day goes ahead, but they turned out in force, and dug deep for prizes also.

Dave McInnes of Blue Star Pty Ltd, recently voted in as NECA Queensland President, co-hosted the prize ceremony with our Chief Executive Officer Guy Houghton. 

Congratulations to the team from NHP who took out first place, TE Connectivity / PSG placed second, and third went to CNW.  Special mention should also be made of Corey Oliver from Blue Star Pty Ltd who won the prize for Straightest Drive Hole and the Pro’s Choice of Greg Irwin from NHP, not forgetting our 'wooden spooners' the hard working staff from Rutledge Engineering.
