Photovoltaic (PV) Grid Connect Training
The increased demand in photovoltaic (PV) systems is due to the federal government offering a rebate for the installation and an increasing trend in consumers wanting to access green energy. For consumers to qualify for the rebate, they must use an installer accredited by the Clean Energy Council.
Licensed electricians can undertake the PV Training course offered by SkillsTec Australia to obtain an accreditation from the Clean Energy Council and then access the increasing work in the renewable energy area. This course will give you the qualification necessary to get the Clean Energy Council (formerly BCSE) Grid Connect Install Accreditation. The Accreditation is essential for householders who wish to take advantage of any government rebate schemes.
The qualification attained is UEE50710 Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering and is delivered through blended study via the internet. Participants can study any or all three of the competencies offered:
- UEENEEK048A Install, configure and commission grid connected Photovoltaic power systems
- UEENEEK025C Solve basic problems in Photovoltaic energy apparatus and
- UEENEEK035C Design grid connected power supply systems to enable application for grid connect accreditation with the Clean Energy Council
You may enrol and commence study at any time through the year and participants will be given six months to complete each competency. Queensland residents can receive a subsidised fee on all three competencies, contact SkillsTec to enrol.
