Introduction to Estimating

About the course

The Introduction to Estimating course is designed to give participants an introduction to the following:

• Preparation of a quotation from plans and specifications
• Quantity takeoffs
• Material and labour pricing
• Costing the job
• Tender breakdown of costs
• Tender submission letter

The participants do practical work which includes pricing the electrical installation of a dwelling and preparing the documentation for a tender submission.

Dates

The next course will be held on 2 March 2012 from 8:00am-4:30pm. Course to be held at NHP 16 Riverview Place Murarrie (just near the Gateway Bridge).

Advanced Estimating will be held the following Friday 9 March 2012.

The cost

NECA members rate $355 (non-members $595).

Introductory and Advanced courses will be $495 for NECA members (non-members $595).
